Happy Birthday Alyssa!!

Although Alyssa's birthday is still two weeks away, we held an early party for her yesterday at "Fit for Fun". It was a "princess party" and a bunch of her friends showed up dressed in full princess attire. Alyssa really enjoyed all of the attention and had a great time playing with her friends and running around. She really enjoyed having Uncle Steve & Aunt Alisha here for the weekend as well. The slideshow has some of the great photos from the party, but this one is definitely one of the best!

Alyssa received some great princess toys and several "littlest pet shop" toys. By the end of the day, she was exhausted, but was very excited to be the girl of the day. After her party, we all drove down to Centerra and while the girls took a little nap in the car, we all ducked into Best Buy and really enjoyed a game of "Rockband" together. Steve played guitar, Alisha took vocals, Jason hammered on the drums (and didn't do too bad for his first time), while Amy played "groupie" with Jantzen. We rocked out to "Eye of the Tiger". Alisha scored 100% on vocals, Jason came in second with 94% on the drums and Steve did an impressive 88% on the guitar. I was amazed at how fun it was to play that game. (Almost tempted to buy it!)
After our jam session, we headed over to "On The Border" for dinner. The food was great and Alyssa really loved being sung to by the wait-staff. Overall, yesterday was one of the better days we've had in a while.
We're looking forward to heading to NC on Tuesday and we won't be back until the 27th (that's right, we fly home on Turkey Day). Avago has a mandatory shut-down over Christmas, so we'll be on vacation for two full weeks at the end of the year. We're very much looking forward to that!! It's been a very tough year with much travel, but now, we can enjoy the rest of the year together (except the 10 days that Jason has to be in Singapore from 11/29 - 12/9)!
