Here's to horsey-back rides for extra entertainment while trying to corral Aubrey and Jantzen during our 3 1/2-hour delayed flight out to Knoxville, TN. So much for perfect planning. The kids were pretty good sports in the terminal, thanks to using up all of their "surprises" and treats Mommy had stashed in the backpacks for the flight.
Jantzen and Aubrey are pretty good buddies most of the time and like to roughhouse together.
Aubrey loves her "babies" as she calls her little doll. Yes, that's "babies" with an "s" for her singular doll and it is darling!
Can I climb on this? Can I touch the computers? Can I run around these things? Can I have a soda? Are we EVER going on that airplane out there! I can see it RIGHT OUT THERE!!!
When all else fails, there are always ring pops.
Are we done yet? Oh, I forgot, we haven't even boarded the plane. But we should've been there by now. Aubrey's bunny backpack was the hit of the airport, attracting lots of "ohs" and "so cute"s. Also, because she LOVED wearing it and it was darling with her running around and the bunny ears flopping up and down.
Finally.......oh, but not really because we got to sit on the TINY plane, seatbelts fastened and tray tables in their upright and locked position, for another 40 minutes! That's when things REALLY got interesting! But hey, we made it safe and sound. Even if it was 2 a.m. in Knoxville and the car rental people had left us high and dry and we luckily got a cabbie to take us to a local hotel for the rest of the night. We slept so late that we missed the free breakfast but nobody cared and we went on our merry way to the Waffle House and NC!
