Yep, that there is a real, live tick. Just burn the little suckers with the end of a match and they pop right out with a pair of tweezers. If you're a mad mommy, you then burn the tick with another match and flush it down the sink. Ticks were bad this year, with all of us having one incident, except for Aubrey and Alyssa.
Jantzen and Tyler were instant buddies and had such fun together! No better combination than boys and trucks and water! Except maybe a little mud would sweeten the deal.
Trying to do slip-n-slide together. After the third or fourth bond on the head, Tyler's mom was a little nervous but Tyler just kept laughing and getting up to go again.
Things got wild when Daddy came out to pick a water fight. Daddies are so big and fun to try to dunk, but they never lose! Maybe when the kids get bigger. They sure had fun trying, though.
By the time we were done, Papaw's lawn WAS a slushy mud-pit, which the boys enjoyed later in the day and week.
Jason's cousins, the Lankfords, came over for the holiday from Charlotte, NC. Always a fun time with them and the BIG kids!
The mommies and Alyssa stayed safely near the screened porch, holding valuable objects like iphones and cameras.

Mackayla had a much better "penguin-form".
Jason is half as long as the slip-n-slide so he didn't have alot of place to go!

Oops! Decided to get each other instead. Tyler was all over it but it took Jantzen a while to figure out that he was SUPPOSED to splash Tyler back - that was the game.
Alyssa got tired of the little-boy splashing and attempted to put a stop to it herself.
